Producers David Mirvish, Kenny Wax, Wendy & Andy Barnes, George Stiles and Kevin McCollum are excited to announce the Queens of the Canadian production of SIX, the Tony Award®-winning new musical by Tony Award®-winners Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss.
SIX will be performed at Edmonton’s Citadel Theatre August 12 through September 10, 2023. It will then travel to Toronto, playing at the Royal Alexandra Theatre from September 23 to December 17, 2023.
Tickets to SIX in Edmonton are already on sale through citadeltheatre.com. Tickets for the Toronto engagement go on sale today - Tuesday June 6 (the 6th day of the 6th month) at 10AM ET through mirvish.com or by calling 1.800.461.3333.
“Casting for SIX was conducted across Canada and the United States,” explained David Mirvish. “We are delighted by the cast of 10 multi-talented and dynamic actors and the powerful band. They represent an exciting new generation of theatre artists, and we are honoured to have them tell the empowering story of this celebrated and exciting new musical in Canada.”
Starring as Henry VIII’s wives are: Jaz Robinson as Catherine of Aragon, Julia Pulo as Anne Boleyn, Maggie Lacasse as Jane Seymour, Krystal Hernández as Anna of Cleves, Elysia Cruz as Katherine Howard, and Lauren Mariasoosay as Catherine Parr. The cast also includes Hailey Lewis, Julia McLellan, Abigail Sparrow and Darcy Stewart as Standbys.
They are backed by a band, the “Ladies in Waiting” as they are known, consisting of Liz Baird, who is also the music director, Allyson MacIvor, Kia Rose, Sarah Richardson and Aretha Tillotson.

Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss wrote SIX when they were students at Cambridge University for the school’s Musical Theatre Society, to be performed by fellow students at the 2017 Edinburgh Fringe Festival. The show was a sensation from its very first performance and word quickly spread. The show’s popularity exploded culminating in a Broadway production and in other productions around the world, including Australia.
SIX is currently playing at Broadway’s Lena Horne Theatre in New York, the Vaudeville Theatre in London’s West End, on tour in the UK and across North America, and at the Coex Shinhan Card Artium in Seoul, South Korea.
SIX won 23 awards in the 2021/2022 Broadway season, including the Tony Award® for Best Original Score (Music and Lyrics) and the Outer Critics Circle Award for Best Musical.

SIX: LIVE ON OPENING NIGHT Broadway album debuted at Number 1 on the Billboard cast album charts, surpassed 6 million streams in its first month, and has been streamed over 49 million times to date. The album received a 2023 Grammy Award® nomination for Best Musical Theatre Album.
SIX is co-directed by Lucy Moss and Jamie Armitage and features choreography by Carrie-Anne Ingrouille. The design team includes Emma Bailey (Scenic Design), Tony Award®-winner Gabriella Slade (Costume Design), Tim Deiling (Lighting Design), and Paul Gatehouse (Sound Design). The score features orchestrations by Tom Curran with music supervision and vocal arrangements by Joe Beighton. Jaz Robinson (Catherine of Aragon):
Jaz Robinson is a Canadian performer from Whitby, Ontario. She is thrilled to be making her Mirvish debut in SIX. Jaz has toured the globe performing in a variety of shows including Tina – The Tina Turner Musical (The Aldwych Theatre, London’s West End), Lavelles The Ladies of Motown (UK Tour), Christmas on Ice (Niagara Fallsview Casino) and more.
Julia Pulo (Anne Boleyn):
Julia is elated to be making her Mirvish debut! She is a Mississauga native with a Sheridan College Honours Bachelor of Music in Theatre Performance. Theatre performances include Narnia (Bad Hats), Polly Peel (Theatre Sheridan); Ride the Cyclone (Tweed & Co). TV/Film: Bakugan (SpinMaster), Teletubbies (Netflix). She sends all her love to M2, family and friends who feel like family.
Maggie Lacasse (Jane Seymour):
Maggie is a Montréal native and a graduate of the Randolph College for the Performing Arts. Credits include: Featured vocalist on the single “Wonders of the Universe” by Alan Menken, Shalica in the musical Step Up Dubai, All In!, Lead Singer for many worldwide revues. She is happy to be performing her dream show in her favourite city. She sends love to her friends, family and to everyone supporting live theatre.
Krystal Hernández (Anna of Cleves):
Krystal is beyond grateful to be a part of the Queendom! Endless love and gratitude to my husband, family and friends for their constant love and support. Hailey Lewis is an Afro-Canadian triple-threat artist and graduate of the Music Theatre degree program at Sheridan College. After spending the last year at Hogwarts playing Rose Granger-Weasley in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, Hailey is very excited to be welcomed back to the Mirvish stage in this powerful show! Julia McLellan (Standby):
Julia is a Nova Scotia-born and raised actor and environmental advocate. She has had the good fortune of performing on some of North America’s largest stages including three companies of the Tony Award-winning hit Kinky Boots (Broadway, 1st National Tour, Mirvish). Select credits include: Doralee in 9 to 5: The Musical (Citadel), Persephone in the North American premiere of Mythic (Segal), Val Clark in The Stratford Festival’s A Chorus Line, Dorothy (Alternate) in the North American premiere of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Wizard of Oz (1st National Tour, Mirvish), Casey in First Date (Mayfield), Katherine Plumber in Disney’s Newsies, Annabelle in Lucky Stiff, Ariel in Footloose (Drayton). Julia’s stage career intertwines with her climate activism: she is the Executive Director of The Canadian Green Alliance, the not-for-profit dedicated to bridging the gap between theatre and sustainability.
