HELP DESK ASSOCIATE
This position reports to the Ticketing Operations & Technology Director or designate and is part of the IT Department.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as first point of contact for users requiring technical assistance via our help desk
- Respond to tickets in the queue, gathers information, prioritizes needs and leads users through technical problems
- Keep users informed on status of their tickets
- Maintain a reasonable response time based on priority of issues to ensure critical systems are available
- Identify needs, analyze technical requirements and find solutions to problems
- Install upgrades to hardware, software and peripherals
- Set up e-mail accounts
- Set up company-provided mobile devices following company standards
- Set up user workstations for use, following company standards
- Install, configure and test new hardware and peripherals
- Works as a team member
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Help Desk Technician or other customer support role in the I.T. field
- Excellent understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and other tech products
- Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues
- Be able to lift 20 to 30 lbs
- Proficient in both Mac and Windows systems.
- Proficient in English
- Excellent communication and customer-oriented skills
Starting Date: Immediately
Job Type: Permanent Full Time
Location: Toronto, Ontario (On-site)
Annual Salary: $55,000 - $60,000
